Luke Proctor, ARM — President
After graduating at the top of his class with an MBA from the University of Kansas, Luke Proctor was recruited by IMA’s management development program. Tasked with special projects that contribute to IMA’s long-term business planning, the seeds of growth that would become Signature Select began to take root.
As the president of Signature Select, Luke strives to help his employees reach their maximum potential. He believes in surrounding himself with people who have more expertise than his own in a variety of areas in order to create teams with superior ability. “Hire good people and let them do their job,” he often says. He doesn’t micromanage. Instead, he trusts his people to have the same goals as the IMA organization and Signature Select. By empowering his team, he remains focused on the big picture.
Luke serves on the board of directors for IMA Inc. and the Andover Advantage Foundation and is a “big” for Big Brothers Big Sisters. He holds the Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation and is a member of the Wichita Business Journal’s “40 under 40” class of 2009.
Chad Elgas – Director of Business Development
Chad Elgas joined Signature Select, LLC in October 2009 after an 8 year career with a national personal insurance carrier. Chad’s experience with the carrier includes Underwriting, Marketing, and most recently as Territory Manager for their Kansas City Branch. He’s also been a sponsor member of the Kansas City Financial Planning Association for the past 3 years, providing personal insurance advice and continuing education training to its members.
Chad holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Illinois State University where he was a member of Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity and served a term as his Chapter’s President. Chad’s experience deepens the strength of our already strong team in helping affluent clients build insurance programs to fit their unique needs.
Nate Bell — Business Development Executive
Nate joined Signature Select’s Denver office in July 2010 as a Business Development Executive in the Personal Insurance division. Prior to joining Signature Select, Nate was a Managing Partner for a national insurance company’s branch in Portland, Oregon. Nate earned his bachelor’s degree at Willamette University, majoring in Rhetoric and Media Studies.
Tim Degner — Business Development Executive
Tim holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Kansas and is currently working toward his Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation. He started in the insurance business in 1993 working as an account executive and sales executive for Universal Underwriters — a Kansas City-based insurance company. Tim also worked in the capacity of sales manager for Universal Underwriters before going to work for a national broker in 2001.
Tim joined IMA in 2003 serving as an account executive before joining Signature Select.
Lisa Kroenke, API — Business Development Executive
Lisa began her career in personal insurance services in 1989. She joined IMA in 1997 and earned her designation as an Associate in Personal Insurance. Lisa is also involved in the community as a volunteer for Big Brothers Big Sisters.
Lisa specializes in the unique needs of personal insurance clients and high-net-worth individuals. Her areas of expertise include insuring custom-built homes, vacation properties, art, jewelry and wine collections, high-value automobiles and other luxury items.
Lindsay Smith — Business Development Executive
Lindsay launched her insurance career in 2004 as an account manager in the Employee Benefits department at IMA. After two years as a recruiter with a local executive search firm, she returned to IMA in 2009 to take a position in Business Development with Signature Select.
Lindsay holds her bachelor’s degree from Wichita State University and is currently working toward a master’s degree at Friends University. She is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and Young Professionals of Wichita.
Howard Kohler — Business Development Executive
Prior to joining Signature Select, Howard gained four years’ experience as an agent at a Denver insurance agency and was the risk manager at an area retirement community. He joined Signature Select’s Denver office in 2009 in the Business Development department.
Howard earned his bachelor’s degree at Pepperdine University, majoring in political science.
